Running 40x rec alpha 405w paired with Enphase iq8m, they have been working great. The system top day has generated 105kWh. Originally designed to hit 2000 kWh on average a month, it looks like it will out perform that slightly, starting inFeb was 2.1k, 2.3k, 2.7k, 2.6k, and this month with all the rain it looks like 2k. Summer in Florida is fairly rainy so would assume to probably dent the generation.

I have been looking for these panels for 6 months and no one seem to know when they are going to be ready for install. Does anyone know when they will be released for installation?

My last contact with Titan Solar was in August of 2023. My solar system has not been up to par as to what the salesperson had sold us on, my average power bill is anywhere from $100 and up and I still pay to the loan company $200 a month. I was having Titan solar investigate this and they never got back to me. I feel I have been mislead and now I don't have any support for my solar system. Not sure if anything can be done but it's worth a shot. Thank you.

You should deduct a few points from SE, seeing as they likely won't be in business to honor their warranty.

One reason I can't justify going to solar and storage is the capacity. 24 kWh may sound like a lot, but if the power goes out in the middle of winter, that's only 8 hours just for 2 x 1.5 kW single room space heaters. That's not even counting lights, fridge, microwave... On top of that, a total investment of $20k - $30k or more. It's really hard to justify.

Told I would have to upgrade my breaker box. I was ok with extra cost. Then told upgrade not necessary. Every time my front a/c unit comes on breaker trips. My local a/c service provider found wire no completley connected. Could have burnt house down. Worked for awhile but now trips everytime comes on.

A lot of solar scam and no one trust it.

My question is, what can I do if the solar panels were installed but they didn't pass the inspection. I have the system installed but can't even use it. I received the notice that my payment starts this month, but I can't even use the system. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Their customer service and install team was HORRIBLE! I’m in AZ and had them install through Sunrun! I had over 30 holes in my roof. I thank God that there was a report just after install in 2016 showing all of the damage. Nobody from Titan followed up. And I didn’t even know about it until I had a major roof leak 2 years ago. Holes, black mold, roof exposed etc. Thank Hod for that report, Sunrun took care of replacing my roof. Now I am dealing with my system not working since beginning of May, an inverter issue that needs to be replaced! I’m still waiting for Sunrun to come out on July 1st! Just a horrible experience!

Could the interconnection be made in future versions using the feet of the modules connecting to the top? So you would just stack these modules on top of each other and they connect to each other without any cables? A bit like connecting an iPad to the smart keyboard. Would be much easier if that could be developed?

I have and Enphase system with no batteries. I have a generator hookup with a manual lockout. When the power goes out, the solar energy is automatically shut off. How would I hook up a Bluetti to use the solar energy during a power outage? Is it possible?

This Guy has a WELL THOUGHT out Home, like on The Farm here. Everything is running on Propane, you can Buy and Store over a Year’s worth of it, and it Never goes Bad.! Also a Propane Generator, to refill the Solar Batteries, when Needed. Primary heat source is Wood, with the Propane as a backup, along with On Demand hot water, Dryer and Stove/ Oven, all on Propane. Minimal Dependence on Electricity as a Primary Source. 👍

None of this applies to real solar enthusiasts who simply want to be free of the grid. I have been doing solar/wind/EV's for more than 40 years and never hooked to the grid or applied for any tax credit.

There are a lot of auto switch over systems now that work very well. Seems it would be better to set this up so he doesn’t have to plug it up if the power goes out.

I'm in VA as well and doing something very similar to this setup. I have a whole home generator, thanks to the Veteran Affairs, incorporated into my plans. In case of a long outage, I plan to use the whole home generator during the day and solar batteries during the night which will be connected to an inlet box. My only concern at the moment is, while using the solar batteries at night, how to use inlet box without leaving the door opened. Only thing that comes to mind is getting a long enough power cable that will connect the solar battery to the inlet box with and having it go through the window.

My utility is IID (Imperial Irrigation District) which has two digital meters on my home with 7kWh solar. Electric rate is about $0.2409 (generation + taxes and fees) per kWh for total usage and I get a monthly credit of $0.0698 for my Net Generation. This shows I would benefit by using my solar generation and avoid the grid as much as possible. Saving money is good but it is not my priority. My IID service had 11 black outs last year and this year I have already had two. I have two EVs in my garage with over 190kWh of batteries. Why buy another battery? I'm hearing more and more talk of EV OEMs offering V2H two way charging. GM and Ford offer it now, Kia is coming out with solution later this year. I would like to see why EV owners should buy another battery, seems a waste of resources and money. What is the benefit of a separate battery vs EV owner using V2H?

Another company that went out of buisness is Electriq Power, we were a subcontrator of them and have received no real answers to when we will get paid. Also a lot of abandoned systems with proprietary equipment and no access to monitoring systems.

Solar panes work as long as they are exposed to the sun and are not damaged!!! Solar system may not work on the sunny day due to a failure of the single and/or multiple components. You may have solar system coupled with a generator so when grid is down, the house is still powered even without having a battery, which could be a part of the grid failure system support.
